Biography

Samantha Knowles was born in Durban, South Africa and raised in Auckland, New Zealand. Samantha has completed her Bachelor of Arts in both English and Geography with the University of Auckland. Currently, she is working towards her BA (Honours) in Geography with the University. Her research interests include development studies, disaster risk reduction, religion in the face of disaster risk reduction, colonisation, policies and, the human-wildlife conflict (specifically within the southern African region). Samantha has been involved in qualitative and quantitative research collection and analysis, and, has experience as a personal tutor. Samantha is fluent in English, and some basic Afrikaans.
