Biography

Ryan Rui is an undergraduate student at the University of Auckland, majoring in Geography (Honours), Global Environment and Sustainable Development. He is dedicated to expanding his knowledge and developing skills to reduce and manage greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and address climate change. Ryan's work and research include applying and improving carbon accounting methods, developing better policies for the internal and external carbon markets (the Emissions Trading System, ETS), and reducing climate change risk (Physical and Transition Risks). Ryan collaborates with academic research groups at universities, community groups, and consulting firms to address existing problems and challenges in business and social contexts. Ryan speaks English, Chinese (Mandarin, Shanghainese), and some basic German.
