Biography

Raymund Laddaran is currently pursuing a Master of Disaster Management at the University of Auckland, supported by the Manaaki New Zealand Scholarships. With a background in non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the Philippines, he is particularly interested in researching the impact of external funding and aid on local organizations' practices and programming, especially in humanitarian and development work.

He is also focused on researching NGOs in the Philippines that work on resilience and risk management, particularly those using organizing and community-based disaster risk management approaches.

As a humanitarian and development professional, Raymund has worked with a local NGO in the Philippines, focusing on poverty alleviation and disaster preparedness and response.
