Naing Lwin
Biography
Naing is a medical professional currently working as a Clinical Documentation Specialist within the Department of Quality, Safety & Risk (QSR) at Auckland City Hospital. He holds a Master’s degree in Disaster Risk Management (First Class Honours) at AUT, with a research focus on health-related disasters and biological hazards such as pandemics, epidemics, and emerging disease outbreaks. His particular interest is in maintaining continuity of patient care during times when healthcare systems are overwhelmed or disrupted. He also works as a teaching assistant, helping master's students with their research and marking health science assignments at AUT.
Originally from Myanmar, Naing holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery and a Postgraduate Diploma in General Practice. He brings over a decade of clinical experience, including eight years of hospital-based training across various medical specialties and two years of work as a general practitioner before relocating to New Zealand.
