Biography

Maria (Jen) completed her master's degree in disaster management at the University of Auckland. Her research focuses on disaster and DRR realities in-game world. She co-authored the following games; storm-surge cycle game, flood cycle game, storm-cyle game and several story games published by Japan Foundation Asia. Maria (Jen) gained her professional experience on humanitarian interventions and development with Save the Children Philippines, Food for the Hungry Philippines and Save the Children International. She has taken an interest in research and in developing disaster education materials with her team. Maria (Jen) speaks Bisaya, Tagalog, English and basic Japanese.
