Biography

Jana (she/her) is an honours student and graduate teaching assistant at Waipapa Taumata Rau - The University of Auckland. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Arts conjoint degree majoring in Business Analytics and Geography. Throughout her undergraduate studies, she developed a keen interest in urban planning and people’s interaction with public space. This interest has culminated in her current honours dissertation topic, which explores the role that the urban design of public space plays in its use. Born in Macedonia and raised in Aotearoa New Zealand, Jana is fluent in both English and Macedonian. She also has beginner abilities in New Zealand Sign Language and Serbian.
