Biography

Angus is currently working towards a BSc Honours in Geography having returning home from attending Queens University in Canada. He currently holds a Bachelor of Science Degree double majoring in Geography and Biology from the University of Auckland. For his dissertation Angus is continuing to investigate one of his key interests, social media. He is investigating if neighbourhood group pages are a digital location/conduit for care & un-care to be reconstituted, and if this potentially effects how we see and interact in physical space. Angus believes that although social media has many issues and short comings it provides an opportunity for usage in Disaster Risk Reduction, social cohesion, and public policy.  In the future he hopes to continue with his studies and pursue a Master’s Degree in Geography.
